Atlas & Chilli
Why this name
The name Atlas & Chilli reflects the nature of the work: holding complexity with clarity, & navigating a world shaped by extremes.

Atlas represents responsibility & the ability to see interconnected systems.
Chilli signals contrast & the extremes of a changing climate.

Together, they express clarity, structure & resilience.
The Website
Everything on this website has been intentionally designed. The visual choices aren’t decorative; they support the story & the work.
The jungle strip reflects natural carbon sinks. The coral background acknowledges both the reality of climate change & the fragility of the systems we depend on.
The use of natural elements introduces structure, contrast & movement across the design, echoing the forces that shape environmental systems. Even the retro feel of the glossary page nods to the evolution of sustainability practice & the frameworks that brought us to where we are now.

Anna Ellis founded Atlas & Chilli Ltd to deliver sustainability & climate‑resilience consultancy differently — using micro‑focused sessions, practical tools, & clear, actionable guidance to help organisations navigate sustainability, climate resilience, & reporting requirements with confidence.

Experienced across Real Estate, Retail, Rail, Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear & more, Anna has worked with organisations including MBDA, The Crown Estate, Jacobs, HS2, HIAL, Airbus & the Ministry of Defence. This breadth gives her a clear view of how different sectors think, operate & make decisions.

Her work began in systems engineering & systems architecture — disciplines centred on understanding complex systems through visual structure, mapping interdependencies, & translating methodologies into clear, verifiable representations.

That foundation now underpins every guide, tool & pathway she develops, supported by further studies in Earth Sciences, Environmental Management, Systems Thinking, Innovation & Development Management, & Managing for Sustainability.

Anna’s approach is practical, approachable & rooted in delivered experience. Her work spans strategies & roadmaps, stakeholder mapping, reporting, delivery plans, climate‑risk assessments, scenario projections, adaptation planning, Net Zero implementation, & integration with ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 across complex organisations.

After years in consultancy & in‑house roles, she recognised the need for sustainability support that is structured, practical & genuinely useful. Atlas & Chilli exists to provide grounded, actionable guidance that helps teams deliver meaningful, confident progress without unnecessary complexity.
